Premiere CS5.5: Clip Out Point Edit in Timeline

In Final Cut Pro 7, you can select the end of a clip in the timeline and use keyboard commands to nudge it longer or shorter. I would love to be able to do the same in Premiere. I've done some searching around for that function, but I haven't been able to find anything comparable (I want to nudge the out point of the clip, not the entire clip itself).

Does anyone know if this functionality exists?

In CS5.5 it does and you should be looking for "Trim In Point to Playhead" and "Trim Out Point to Playhead". They are not assigned out of the box, so you have to go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts. (Or is it Premiere Pro > Keyboard Shortcuts on the Mac?)

Keep in mind that the targeted track/s dictate what happens: One targeted track, one clip will be trimmed. Two targeted tracks, two clips will be trimmed, etc.
Click the track header to target/un-target a track or assign your own keyboard shortcuts.

In Premiere Pro, there's no FCP style way of "selecting an edit point". If you are talking about ripple trimming with keyboard shortcuts, you'll have to go to the Trim monitor for that (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS1c9bc5c2e465a58a91cf0b1038518aef7-7d2ba.html) No way to ripple trim directly in the timeline. You can use extend edit functions to do roll trims in the timeline, however. Trim In/Out to playhead trims but does not close the gap at the same time, you'll have to choose ripple delete to complete the trim.

I may do it later. I saw how one can ripple edit using only one or two keystrokes in FXP X yesterday. To do the same in Pr it take four keystrokes...

This was when removing media. Lets say that you want to remove one second from clip A it is truly fantastic to being able to do it with one keystroke.
