Premiere CS4 Quick Help needed adding transitions

Hello all,

I came here for a possible quick answer because I'm in a very tight time frame and maybe I'm not thinking straight.

Here's what happened. I just dropped a whole bunch of P2 Clips on the timeline that I recorded last night at 29.97fps in VideoCam mode.

720hd.

I'm trying to add transitions and all I'm getting is the little ghost buster sign and it's not letting me add any kind of transitions from anywhere.

I'm on windows vista. What can it be?
 
If you import old footage (that you've edited before) on to the same timeline, are you
still prevented from adding transitions?

Can you bring the new P2 footage into an old project (one where you have transitions)
to see if it works there?

Let me know and perhaps we can trouble shoot this quickly. I have CS3, but the basic
editing functions are the same.

I have rebooted the pc because I just didn't understand how this was happening I never ran into this before and specially with like 3 hours left before I have to turn this in!

So after the reboot everything is working ok! Thank God!

I was freeking out! lol...
