I recently used my DVX 100b and shot at 30p. When I captured it to my computer utilizing the regular DV settings (29.97, drop frame, progressive setting) it requires me to render my clips when I drop them on the timeline. Why? Are my settings correct? I've never had to render 29.97 interlaced footage or 24pa footage.
