Premiere CS3's Handling of MXF vs MP4 XDCam

There are glitches in the audio, as imported from XDCam MP4 folders, about every 27 minutes.
A workaround is to rewrap to MXF in the Sony Clip Browser, but while that alleviated the audio problem, it looks as if the color subsampling takes a dive.

I've posted a thread in the XDCam forum about this HERE.

I've also posted in the Adobe forums. This is version 3.2.0, which is XDCam-capable, sort of.. there are some issues remaining, as I've identified above.

Not the same issue. It imports XDCam, but there are audio glitches where individual 4GB chunks are joined in long clips. The glitch shows up about every 17 minutes or 4GB of video. If Sony Clip Browser had a WAV export capability, I could work around it much quicker than exporting MXF, importing to Premiere and then exporting WAV and importing and replacing the audio track from each long XDCam clip.

No easy solution. I have to reserve a lot of hard drive space for the duplicate MXF files, so I can do the audio extraction, then delete the MXFs. It's a Catch 22 situation.. CS3 can't decode the color subsampling correctly from MXFs, but the audio is fine, and CS3 can get the video perfect with the raw footage MP4/BPAV file structure, but the audio has nasty glitches where the 4GB chunks meet.
