I searched on this topic and didn't see what I was looking for so hopefully someone can help me with this. I have been having problems when I capture SD footage from the Canon XLH1 and XHA1 cameras with my DVX100. Reason being that I have read premiere has problems recognizing timecode from Canon devices, and experienced this with batch capturing. Fixed that problem by going to the DVX but now I am crashing, I have had this problem before and usually I can fix it by reinstalling Premiere, but it keeps getting worse and more frequent, however it is random. Sometimes the timecode stops rolling but the footage keeps playing and when this happens it locks the program up. Similarly the timecode will keep rolling as well as the footage past my out point then when I try to manually stop it, it will freeze and won't finalize the capture. For awhile I was able to avoid this by shortening the length of the capture. Another common one it gives me an unknown error and stops, once again freezing premeire as the footage keeps rolling usually doing this maybe 3 seconds into the capture. Most recently as it is finalizing it the clip my whole system shuts down and I get a blue screen. I'm kinda at a loss here, any advice to resolve this issue would be appreciated, I'm just tired of reinstalling premiere and my plugins every several months because it tends to happen when I am in a time crunch.
