I know apple color grading is good.... but how bout premiere color correcting?... can premiere and after effect together even come close to apple color grading?...let me know thanks
Yes, especially once you throw in After Effects and don't include Apple's other programs. Each package can do the same basic things if the editor knows how to use them.
If you're comparing Apple Color to Premiere/After Effects. Then, no. Apple Color is a port of a professional grading suite and offers an unrivaled set of tools IMHO.
I find the level with which you can fine-tune the grade in Color to be far superior.
Saying that they still haven't managed to integrate fully with FCP as when you roundtrip the colours aren't the same as you see in Color...Something to with 8bit v 10bit I think?? I expect they will resolve this in the future.
I'm a firm beliver in using which ever tool fits the needs of your shot so will often work in FCP/Color/After Effects to achieve the desired look.
I haven't really tried colour correcting in Premiere, but judging by the tools it offers, you're not going to get much out of it. You can get some really nice looks out of After Effects, but for anything really serious you do really need a tool like Colour which is actually designed for grading...
