Premiere CC 2018- export timeline mixes mono tracks

Been using Premiere for years, and came upon a glitch today- when exporting from the timeline. Want to emphasize I've been doing this exact process for years and haven't had this problem. no physical changes with the PC for a couple of years now. Camera is C300 Mk2, audio recorder is SD MixPre6.

Exporting video with two tracks of audio- track 1 is boom, track 2 is lav. Exporting as two separate mono tracks. Premiere is mixing the two tracks, regardless if I export as stereo, two mono tracks, or 4 tracks of audio. In other words, left channel plays mix of track 1 and 2. Right channel plays mix of track 1 and 2 (solo'ing monitor). Tried exporting as DNxHR and also H264.

To test further I slid track 2 in the sequence completely out of sync (by seconds). Exported the timeline again as mono tracks, and now I have two identical tracks, with out of sync audio.

Thinking there must be a switch in the recent update I missed or was reset or corruption with a file causing this problem.

Anyone experience anything similar?

Issue solved. I think.
When creating a sequence, now have to specify under "tracks" the audio pan of that track.
Only do this for one client- need to pay more attention I guess!

Don't know about Premiere, but in Vegas Pro, there's a right-click function to duplicate a track, then in the 'channels' there's a left, right or both option. There's also a preferences option to import audio as interleaved 'stereo' or two separate mono tracks.
If exporting the audio is needed, VASST's Trackilizer script can render tracks as separate files. Don't know if Premiere supports any type of audio scripts.. probably not.
