Premiere and Pluraleyes3

I've always synced by hand, but have a project underway where I've loads of clips, all with sound, that need syncing.

everyone says Pluraleyes is the way to go, so I was going to just buy it, but luckily downloaded the demo first. I'm using CS5 on a PC, and the problem is that if I export the xml file from Premiere, or import direct, the files all display with media error, bottom right hand corner, and a yellow triangle warning - Error: audio extraction failed. This is on HD mpg and mts files and also SD avis.

The on-line results of my query from Red Giant, suggest drive permissions, and suggest setting the location of the temp files via the file menu, apart from the fact my version has no such menu item.

Google suggests it's a common problem, but no answers to the problem seem to be around. I'm pretty glad I didn't buy it!

Has anyone cured the problem? I could download the trial on my MAC, but then I will have to copy many Gbs of files across.

The less time you have available, the more annoying these things become!

When you export select the option of making copies instead of just exporting a xml. If you tell plural eyes to make copies it will create a new clip that has the on camera audio replaced with the external audio. At this point you will have a new clip that can be imported directly in Premiere. The only thing that you have to consider is if you have enough hard drive space because you projects media will double in size. I have used this method a couple of times and it works well.

I couldn't find that option? Maybe it's missing in the trial version. I've copied the files to the mac, downloaded the mac version of plural eyes and it's happy. So I'm guessing that despite the disc permissions warnings, the problem is perhaps codec based - as mts files also have an additional error in that they cannot be displayed, but the message infers the sync process is ok. The mac just worked.

My workflow is usually drag and drop the camera and audio files into Plural Eyes, wait for it to process, sync then export XML file to be imported into Premiere Pro. I'm running CS6 though.
