Premiere 5, importing .mp4 to edit...ERROR/REJECT

I have Premiere 5 and I am unable to import .mp4. The computer locks up.

Any ideas why this happens. solutions?

What kind of graphics card do you have? computer specs?

Make sure you are on 5.0.3 (4 for Mac)

Where exactly did you get the clips?
