Hello all I'm on a quad core rendering out from Premier CS4 and it's going really slow and the computer is not making the usual fast paced (fans at full volume etc) noise that it's made before. A 2-3 minute clip with no CC or FX is taking 45 minutes to render. The computer is silent and the encoder is showing as taking only 6 to 13% CPU usage in windows task manager under 'processes'.
Is premier somehow not using all my cores or what is going on? Any idea how to speed this thing up and why it's suddenly rendering so slow when other times I've rendered even 10 minute clips in 12-15 minutes
