I know I've had a lot of new posts here lately, but I'm a total DVX noOb so I have a bit of a learning curve compared to the other cameras we've been using for years.

I've heard that if you're mixing materials such as 60i footage and 24p footage, you should not use Premier Pro 1.5 because it removed the 3:2 pulldown on your 24p footage (or something) and that you should stick with Premier Pro 1.0? Is that true?

How does Premier Pro 2.0 stack up? Did they fix those issues with 1.5 because I was thinking about upgraded to 2.0 today. :-)

the newer the verson .. the better. simple rule that rings true. the newer versions do not always perform pulldown on 24p material unless your using a project that is supposed to remove the cadance from 29.976 24pA or 24pn materials. if you want to not pull it down to 24p, just dont use a 24p project that does pulldown. simply use a 29.976 project.

Ah ok. I'd be editing in a normal 29.97 timeline anyway and just capturing 24p fotage and using where 60i footage already exists. I was a little confused because I saw a lot of posts online that state that Premier Pro 1.5 actually have major problems with 24p whereas PP 1.0 did not.
