Premier Audio help

I'm new in Premier Pro. I have problem needing your help.
I can import mpg movie in Premier. I can see video and hear audio of the import one on movie monitor, but when I take this clip in timeline to edit, the audio sound track has no soundwave and hear no sound on clip monitor. Please help how to fix this problem.

How long of a clip is it? When something is captured or imported into the Premiere timeline, it has to conform the audio first. Until this is finished, you won't see a waveform or be able to hear it. If it is a long clip, it may take awhile to conform.
 
...are you sure the audio isnt still conforming when after you pull it in when your trying top play it? you need to wait for it to be conformed before it will play on the timeline.

You might also want to check the following:

Project -> Project Settings -> General -> Playback Settings

Is "Audio Playback" set to "Play Audio on Audio Hardware" and not "Play Audio on DV Hardware".
 
Thanks for all your helps. I didn't know the audio need to conform in time line. the import is long (around 1:50 hour). So if I have to wait for conform in timeline, it will take how long because I saw no indication for this proccess?

at the bottom right hand side of the bar underneath the timeline ..or basically at the bottom right hand side of the window you have premiere running in the is a conform.. and import status bar indicator
