Premier/After Effects Workflow Q

Just a quick question regarding workflows using AE and Pr. I recently got Adobe CS3 Production Premium, and have started editing an old movie I had made in spring time. Now, I've uploaded both tapes and started to cut up our shots and scenes in Pr, everything is working great.

Where I'm stuck is now that everything is cut up, I would like to get it into AE for color correction and doing some small effects, but the only way I can seem to get my footage into AE is by rendering the clip(s) in Pr, and opening them in AE. I was wondering if there was an easier way (maybe one that did not require rendering) to get the clip(s) in AE (without having to copy/paste the entire source footage (7.7gigs)). Also, if there is no was around the rendering, what would be the best settings to use so that I loose the less quality?

Thanks

Pete

or you can create a new dynamically linked AE project from within PPRO, and then copy your timeline in PPRO, and paste it into the linked AE peoject.
