Hi

How to burn your movie edited in adobe premier pro to a dvd, that can be played on a regular home-dvd-player? (burning for pc is not a problem because the pc "knows" avi-format). I'm using windows xp and Nero 6, is this all the software I need, and how to do it? I allready tried to export a movie from prem pro, that gives me a avi, and burned that with Nero to a dvd, but my dvd-player can not read it. who can help me out here???

Thanks!

from premiere, go to menu file->export->export to dvd
it should do all the process by itself.

Great it works! Do you also know the best settings for me? I've got some dvx-camera footage! Thanks again!

the settings you want to change are usually restricted to the video bit rate and fields.

Personally, i encode my films at 6500 or 7000 kbs CBR (constant bit rate), if there's enough space on the dvd (if the film is not too long). If the size of the film requires more compression, i go for VBR (variable) with peaks at 7000kbs and average depending on size.

About fields and / or framerate, i can't really tell you since here, in PAL, i just encode at 25fps and progressive, but in NTSC i don't know what you are supposed to do.
