Preffered Codecs For Mograph/Compositing/etc?

I am working on a fun project for my reel and I only have experience using ntsc dv codecs, but surely this is the last codec I should be using for projects with no interlaced footage in them. All I have is a bunch of .tiff images. Any input would be greatly appreciated on both sd & hd codecs. I am running FCP 5.1. :cheesy:

Oh and the final delivery would probably be both ntsc dvds and quicktime web videos.

Quicktime, the Photo-JPEG codec around 95% quality out from AE is recommended by Andrew Kramer and has a small footprint. It imports really nicely into Premiere on my old lappy. I'm sure it would probably work well in Final Cut. I hope that helps.

What he said. Losless codec, can cut the file size down to at least a fourth from fully uncompressed, and can hold an alpha channel.
