In case you are unaware of what a geared head is, it is basically a camera mounting instrument operated by hand wheels for precision movements of the camera. It has been a preferred method for Hollywood since almost the beginning of making movies. For the history of a camera geared head, please visit our website, www. GearNex.com.
Precision geared head's up to just last Friday have been mostly very large and expensive. The average camera operator would have to rent one or buy a very old one off EBAY for about $2,500 - $10,000.
Last Monday, we introduce the GearNex
geared head at NAB, National Association of Broadcasters, in Las Vegas at a Show special price of $3,995.00. It is the first geared head designed for todays digital cameras. Our main competition, Arrihead II, was designed for large cameras, and sells theirs for about $40,000.
We decided to offer the DVXUsers group the same NAB special price of $3,995.00 before we raise the price up Monday. The retail list will be $5,995.00.
