Pre Keyed Video

[spunkme99]

I bought Action Movie Essentials, the videos are pre-keyed. I saw that this applies to after effects fine in one of their tutorials, but is there anyway to use these pre-keyed videos in Vegas? I import them and they have a black background. Any ideas on the best way to utilize them?

You need to go into the Media Pool and right-click the clips, and go to Properties. At the bottom is a drop-down for Alpha Channel. Generally, you'd use "straight," but if that doesn't work, try the others.

Thanks David! I didn't even know about that. I can't wait to get home and try it out!

I'm such a nerd, but i'm really excited to use these effects.

Works with Digital Juice, should work with your stuff.
