PPCC 2014.1 - end of media indicators different in source / program monitors???

It should be off by default in the latest. I'm glad they gave us the option to keep it though. I find it useful.

Sometimes I like to view dailies in a stringout before I edit. Often, when I do this, I'll leave space between clips. The end of sequence indicator lets me know when I'm at the end if I'm doing this fullscreen on a laptop. Since it doesn't render into the file, I don't see what all the dislike is about. It can be useful, and if you don't need it, it doesn't affect anything.

The black between clips is a pretty good clue as well, and is a more accurate reflection of what's actually there in the sequence.

And that is the crux of the issue here, I think. The whole idea of the indicator rests on an incorrect display of what's there in the sequence. That's a bad thing.
