What is the best way to import P2 cards to use with Premier Pro 2?

The best way? Upgrade to Premiere Pro CS3 version 3.1.
The only other way? Go to www.dvfilm.com/raylight and get the Raylight plug-in. But if you're going to eventually upgrade to CS3, put that money towards the CS3 upgrade instead. Premiere Pro CS3 has great native P2 support.

DVCProEncoder came with DV Rack when I purchased it from Serious Magic.
It is a simple work flow I used before Premiere allowed native P2/mxf editing.
mxf files from the video folder are simply dragged into the application and a very fast conversion process takes place to avi or qt. What was cool about ti was I could do this from my exteranal drive to my internal drives and this meant I had an archive of the original mxfs.
