Please help!

After selecting 'burn DVD' from the DVD layout panel the next window, where you select your burning settings, indicates that it does not detect burning capability (device/software). I have a 16x burner w/ roxio burning software. Would it be a capability issue?

Does encore have burning capability?

thx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh

Ugh

Still no clue about this. Tried just about everything mentioned. Any advice from anyone that has had this problem? thx

Hi Kugar,

Still no success? Is your DVD burner OK with Roxio or not able to burn at all from any application?

Of course, Encore's primary purpose is DVD authoring. It's good idea to use that application, not NLE for that purpose.

I have Roxio and Adobe Prod Studio on my machine and have never encountered such problems.

I'm not sure what's causing this problem. I'd suggest installing the latest drivers for the DVD burner and running Adobe software update from Photoshop. It will scan all elements and install all updates automatically. If you have any auto play feature enabled, turn it off. It could cause conflict in your system if some application is trying to control your DVD ROM in background.

Kugar, are you able to burn with any other applications or is there a reason you want to use Prem Pro?

I have this problem as well. Very frustrating. But people are saying you should use another program? What program (cheap) do you recommend?

I'd like to export my video to a DVD. That's pretty much it. I mean it would be nice if I could have some control over it, but as long as it preserves what I did in Premiere, I'd be fine with that.

Thank you for your concern

Thank you for your concern

Please forgive the late reply. I did not receive an email informing me about your reply till today. Kinda weird if you ask me. With the holidays and all I haven't been watching the DVX board as much as I usually do.

Thank you for our concern. I haven't resolved the issue, but I have not gotten around to your suggestions. I have a deadline this week that doesn't require me to burn my project, so I've been working on that. I'll try your suggestions this weekend.

Btw, Roxio works fine on it's own. I've used it to burn a back up disc for my project.

Thanks again

I was using PP2.0 for a simple burn until I learn Encore. I need to get some samples out for the composer I am working with. I just got Encore and need to familiarize myself with the program. I'll have more free time this weekend to address the issue (hopefully).

Thanks again
