Powering Westcott Skylux from V-Mount Battery

I'm looking to power my skylux from a v-mount. The skylux has a 5 pin screw type connection (not sure what it's called). Are there any options that will convert this to a vmount plate?

yes, it connects to a balast that connects to ac power. I should have clarified, does the skylux need ac power or can you theoretically connect the 5-pin directly to a vmount plate? I've powered the skylux with a combination of the balast and battery (not vmount) connected to a true sine inverter but would like to 1. use vmount batteries and 2. bypass the balast if possible.

I just went and tested it, I was curious too.

The Skylux power supply puts out 24 volts on the first and last pins of the connector.

So to use a V Mount battery, which is 14.8 nominal, 16v ish full charged you'd have to up the voltage.

So if you plugged straight in, it would probably not work - or be much lower output if it did.

I guess you could build a plate with a boost converter, but can't do the math right now.

Thanks Rallymatt. Now I guess the question is if there is a booster/converter that can accpet vmounts or if there is an AC/DC inverter that accepts vmount batteries
