Powerful PSA's

There was an anti-smoking ad a long time ago (10+ years or more) where a girl and a guy are at a diner and they are making eyes at each other. The guy then pulls out a pack of cigarettes and begins to hit them against his hand (packing).

She then see's him as a chimpanzee doing the same thing, and loses interest.


It's nothing mind blowing, but to this day, whenever I see someone hitting a pack of cigarettes trying to pack them, all I can think of is that stupid chimp! Every time, years later. I don't smoke.

Sometimes it just reaches out in the oddest ways.
 
Say I have a idea for a drinking while driving PSA, shoot & edit it. What would be the next step to get it national?

I've been thinking of this idea for about 5 years and don't know where to go from there.
 
PSA time on networks has been substantially reduced over the years, but a large organization like MADD might actually pay to air something like that.

But, if you make something really good, and it never airs, it can still be a good thing to show your skills.
