This is more of a MAC question rather than a FCP question, but the large reason I want another monitor is too add to the workspace of FCP. Anyway, I have a few questions since I want the montior to also dub as an HDTV.
My Powerbook has a ATI Mobility Radeo 9600 (1.33 GHZ G4, 2 Gig of RAM). The max resolution it has is 1440x900.
(1) Does the LCD/TV I buy have to fall below these resolution settings in order for the graphics card to be able to handle the space or is there another spec to look at?
(2) If I buy a DVI to HDMI adapter, will the computer be able to work with the HDMI port as a second monitor correctly as long as the graphics card can handle it?
