Power on camera light from camera battery?

So, I've seen pictures where people do this, but I have no idea how to do it myself.

I have a 45 watt flourescent bulb mounted on my camera, and I want to power it from an ancillary camera battery.

Does anybody have any ideas on how to wire that?

The first thing you need to do before getting wiring figured out is play with the watttage numbers vs the battery capability to deliver. If your bulb needs 45W of power, only a large high capacity battery like Anton Bauer Dionic 90 would be able to power it, for less than 2 hours. If you were thinking of a 7.2V DV size battery, no go :-(
