Power of the Darkside

I am reading a new book, "The Power of the Darkside -- creating great villains and dangerous situations". Quite different from any of the 70+ other books on screenwriting I have read. I recommend this book, but take a look on amazon to see what you think.

A gal sat down in the lounge chair next to me here at the coffee shop, just a few minutes ago, and I had this book open with the large title visible on the front and back covers ''THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE"; she moved away a minute later-- either i had b.o. or she thought i was reading about dark magic spells to summon the Prince of Darkness. I explained to her about the book to calm her concerns, we joked about it. EDIT: Just talked with her again-- yes she did think it was a book on satanism, etc., so her fears are now calmed, and i met someone new as she offered her name (Christine) and a handshake. ~randall

I'm surprised she didn't just assume you were a Star Wars nerd :)

Thanks for the recommendation - the best heroes need the worst villains...
 
LOL, that is funny, I did not even think of that as I was so wrapped up in the book from the inside, not looking at its cover like an outsider. Oh man, I wonder if anybody has written such a book about Star Wars with the same title, could make a bucket of cash.

halfway through with this, and it offers incredible insight on making good old fashioned evil antagonists. highly recommended
