Posting music video clips?

So about 15 years ago I edited a couple of music videos. I'd like to post them but not sure if it's cool. I don't know how to get hold of the bands or producer to ask for permission. I kept copies for my reel. One of them actually made it on Headbangers Ball and got two thumbs up from Beavis & Butthead.:thumbup: Way before they got their own show.....

So would it be cool or not?

There's nothing wrong with posting work you've done. As long as you're not going to profit from it. So it can't be Pay-Per-View! :) Now, let's start the head banging!!!!

One of them I'm gonna need to get transferred from BetaSP. The other I'll post in a few hours. I'm in the middle of a render now that should be finished by midnight Vegas time.

OK, Here is one of them.
Video: Crowbar - Existense is Punishment 14.3MB wmv
:::::::::PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS:::::::::

Sorry about the crappy quality. There's a bad glitch about 12 secs. into it and plenty of dropouts, though they don't show up to much in this compressed version.

Here's the details as I remember them.
Shot & edited in 1994. (I only edited it. I had nothing to do with the shoot.)
Shot on 16mm, transfered to BetaSP and edited on BetaSP & 1". Mastered on BetaSP. This version you are looking at is a transfer from my VHS copy.

If you want to know why Beavis & Butthead gave it two thumbs up, watch the crowd shot at :38sec. for the guy picking his nose. They really loved that.

Cool slo-mo effects.

15 years ago, huh? That sounds like something that could still pass as new today. Ya know... with all the Slipknots, etc. out there. Not much difference.

Just curious if anyone's even heard of this band, Crowbar? They were out of New Orleans when we made this video back in 94' and it really wasn't my kind of music so I never followed them to know if they hit it big.

heck yeah Crowbar man
even Marty Friedman said that they were the heaviest band ever
that's the original line up, but the one hit was called "all I had, I gave"
some members then went to form Down, and then super joint ritual with tortured soul Phillip Anselmo, who is also from LA.

badass, I really dig all those meatl vids from back in the day before Kurt changed everything

That was cool. Not my kind of music either, but for some reason I liked that song. The drummer rocked...

Until now I thought the dog in your avatar was cute and innocent, but now I know he's a sirius rocker!!! That pup can ROCK!!!! :) Good stuff, Sirius.
