i imported my footage, and im usen adobe premire 1.5 but it won't play do i need to compress it somehow.... what do i do
 
First... You should have posted this in the Premiere section, not Bus/PP. Maybe a mod will see it and move it.

Second.
What happens when you add one of the clips to the timeline? Anything? Can you give a few more details? Maybe step by step what you are doing up to this point.
 
i imported it put it in the timeline i can add effects and do some color correction but i can't watch it in the program monitor it just doesn't play at all
 
Have you rendered the clip yet? Is there a red bar across the top of the timeline? If so, hit the enter key and let it render first.
Try removing all effects/CC, just put a clip on the timeline and see if it will play.
Can you see anything when you drag the timeline marker along the clip?

Sorry if these are all basics that you've already tried. I just do not know your experience level so I'm starting with the simple stuff first.
 
its fine, if i drag the timeline i can see different frames i just added the effects and exported it to see if it exported fine and it did, it just won't play in the window. i have read something about changeing it from progressive to interlaced, is this what i might have to do. thanks for all the help
 
Not to get it to play on the computer monitor. That doesn't matter. You say you can't watch it on the program monitor. Do you mean an NTSC TV monitor?
