When I got my movie edited on Vegas...how to level the sound? SOme clips are "very loud" and some with dialogs are "quitet". HOw you make the movie "with one sound" so poeple dont have to watch the movie with a remote control in their hands...

And what are the steps you guys reccomend as far as AUDIO POST is concerned in VEGAS?

Thanks a lot,
Voytek

Re: Post Audio on VEGAS

I'd recommend normalizing or adding volume envelopes before doing any compression. Compression isn't meant to cover up sloppy mixing and bad sound design. If you have really big differences in volume, you'll be forced to use a lot of compression and too much compression really sounds bad. If you normalize and use volume envelopes first, you'll only need a light application of compression.
