Damn, I had few myself that night (my wife and our DP gave me their drink tickets added on to whatever I did on my own). I asked you something about the RED ( i think it was something Graeme talked about...or rather, wouldn't talk about :lipsrseal ) You used polysyllabic words which I felt answered my question, then I drooled and then you politely excused yourself.
 
It's kind of funny to me that you posted this as your 1,000th post (congrats by the way). I've followed all of the RED stuff from the sidelines, reading everything, but never feeling the need to chime in with a post. I always assumed that the first 100 reservation holders were well-resourced industry types. It's heartwarming to know that #27 is a guy just like me. :)

Sorry about that! I remember the Reduser party being a constant stream of meeting people and there were tons of people there I never even met! Ah! The downside of these parties.

No need to apologize man. It was a great event. I'm not sure if my headache the next day was from the booze or all the info that wouldn't fit into my brain. :grin:
 
Lol, over two years to get to 1000 posts and then in the next 6 weeks I added 250 posts by being in timefest. Sheesh, thats how those guys rack up 5000 posts, its participating in the fests!

Haha, same thing happened to me. I got to 1000 after a number of months during TimeFest and after that I realized how fast it was going up. I'm already over half way through the next thousand. Jason Ramsey and John LaBonney even made fun of me over the weekend.

At the screening during my interview John noted my rising post count and asked if I was trying to pass up Brandon Rice for the reccord.

Beofre leaving the after party Mark wanted me to post something on the boards and Jason asked what I was going to post and when I said I didn't know he responded with:

"How can you not know? You post a thousand posts a second!"

Make fun if you will, you would all cry if I wasn't hear. ADMIT IT! :D
 
Shawneous, you're a freaking nut, and moreso a true inspiration. In my situation my creativity is being stunted by my lifestyle. My first film cost $700 and it was a feature. I learned a lot and am moving on. I wish my output could be more but my situation right now just won't allow it. I'm glad you moved on. Hopefully I'll get a teaching position I'm going up for. That will help a lot. I would love things to work out like that for me. I'm moving up to HD production and trying to get something together for my next production. I'm trying to see what I can do on an HV20 with a 3-light kit. Soon we'll start promoting and getting these books to sell as a few people are already interested.
