possible to use 27" imac as monitor on set?

Can you do this, and can you maybe simultaneously run a small monitor like smallHD for the DP/AC to use, then have use the 27" iMac as a luxury monitor for the director and whoever?

This shouldn't be difficult to implement using one of these:
HDMI to Display Port Converter

DisplayPort and HDMI are not electrically compatible both ways the way that HDMI and DVI are. The source going into any Display port input needs to be a display port signal. There are other converter boxes out there, but this one supports 1920x1200 according to the specs.

So as long as you can get your camera signal to HDMI, and use a splitter for splitting the signal between the SmallHD and the Kanex box, you should be good to go.
