Possible P2Store problem after firmware update

I just updated my P2Store using a Mac. Everything seemed OK per the messages delilvered by the P2Store Manager windows.

However, when I attached the P2Store to my Mac and turned it on there was a message on my computer saying that the device I just plugged in could not be recognized by my computer.

The P2Store happened to be empty and I hope that was the issue. I dumped a P2 card into the P2Store and then my computer recognized it.

Can I assume that everything is OK or do I have a problem? Is a Mac supposed to recognize an empty P2Store?

That's what a Mac does with an empty P2 Store. Yours is operating normally, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

We are out in the field and i followed all the instructions as per the updating and was successful doing tests with the device with both 4, 8, and 16 gig cards for test trials after the firmware updates and purchase of new 16gig cards for the project but now

we are getting error messages that say that the p2 store needs to be initalized by the computer to be read, we have tried turning it off, powercycling everything, both macbook pros, and re-initalizing the p2 store from the unit itself after holding down the two buttons to make it flash orange, the color it needs to be on the mac, but to no avail. Any ideas here guys as to why it worked on our tests but isn't being recongized by either cpu in the field?

May i suggest if your up against it , get an external HDD (firewire or USB) to get out of trouble. no one needs stress with there gear..
rectify your problem back in the office...
