Hey gang,
Here's a link to a story about a chip-maker claiming an 8 Megapixel CMOS still-cam chip that will produce 2 Megapixel 30fps progressive video.
That's darn near close to 1080p and probably wouldn't be a chore to get that out of the chip. They're talking about using it for cellphones and consumer digital cameras in the $250 range.
Intriguing if they can pull it off.
