He did a fire burn among other things
And therein lies my first complaint with this movie. Fires burning everywhere. With no smoke. In an upsidedown ship. With a limited oxygen supply. Do the math. This thing should have been over in 15 minutes with everyone succumbing to smoke inhalation. Or putting out fires should have been a big part of the plot.

I did love the tongue-in-cheek nature of Kurt Russell's character.

"I used to be a firefighter." (Backdraft)

"He used to be the mayor of New York." (Escape from New York)

Good stuff. I could enjoy the campiness of it, but it took away from any drama I might have felt since the physics, chemistry, and biology were abysmal.

hehe... I am happy I looked past that and just enjoyed the movie... It's funny, I have a friend who's LAPD, and he cannot watch 24 without making SOME comment on how unrealistic it is, even though he digs the show, LOL!

heehee... well, they all think THEIR way to hold a gun is the ONLY right way. hehe

Perhaps because the entire TOPSIDE was upside down and underwater ? Remind me not too follow you into the ships bowells during this crisis.
Actually, at the end when they escape from the boat it was entirely possible. and therefore it pissed me off.

I think so, when it shows the ship after they escape, there's alot of cabin's visible that looked like easy exits.
