Portfolio Websites

Hey all,

I am redesigning my website at the moment and I would love some feedback from you guys on two things.

1) When you are going to a fellow filmmaker,, writer, etc, website/portfolio what do you want see there? Reel front and center? Blog first? What type of content are you looking to see?

2) Does anyone know of any really good portfolio/blog themes for wordpress that I could use to make life easier and still have a good looking website?

I suppose reel on the first page, a different page for your past projects and then a page for blog.

Hell, I would like to know this too. My new website is up, but soooo willing to redesign for both impact and appeal.

Take a look at themeforest.net. Very cheap WP themes, and they have a bunch that u won't see at all of the other WP Theme sites.

I'm redoing my site with one of their themes.

IMHO, I don't wanna see video automatically playing on the home page, but I think a slideshow of grabs is a great way to get some eyepopping stuff on there without being annoying.

I would say it doesn't hurt to have a paragraph to introduce yourself, too. Don't let it grow real long and take over, but I'm always a little interested to know, in a nutshell, who this person is.

(I've yet to actually do this on my website, but it's definitely something I'm planning to add)
