portabrace hardcases

I've got a portabrace for my HVX, I also have some Storm Cases. As much as I like PortaBrace, I've got no love for the latches. I've smashed my fingers something fierce in them, and I've never had that problem with Pelicans or Storm Cases.

hmm. good input. thinking of giving it a try, but those latches and a locking feature is key. i have a whole family of pelicans..was looking to see what else out there.
 
i´ve got the portabrace and i´m very happy with it! if you don´t want to buy a pelicase then go for it - its good stuff in my eyes - and its gone a few times around the globe and it is still pretty :)
 
A vote for the Porta Brace latches -- I love them. The design puts leverage on the closing/opening process, so it takes much less force. The bigger cases also have latches on all 4 sides, so they're really securely shut. I've had a Pelican, but I'd get PB now.

I have the same case, there is a lock hole at the front similar to a pelican, however it is not metal reinforced. I really like the pelican as I still have not figured out the pressure relief valve on the PB. For my next case (2 more HVX's by december) I am going back to pelican. It isnt that portabrace is a bad case, I love the latches by the way, I am just more comfortable with a pelican.

edit:

forgot to mention that the cubed foam totaly sucks, get your own foam and make your own insert, my cubed foam fell apart during my first gig with it.
