Portable USB Drive Reliability?

I've started using those tiny 320GB USB drives as portable P2 storage on remote shoots, and they're working great. I was a bit leery before after hearing stories of overheating and dead drives. These are running cool, and I've used four so far with no problems. One set of drives is a copy, so there's always a backup in case a drive fails.

Anyone using these and having problems? I'm going to pick up another four when I head back to the field in a few days.

I use both the LaCie and Western Digital usb drives on the road or as a hand off drive. So far, so good.

i usec lacie and trextor, sheep, but i make all the time back up.
i had already few discs that broke, just like this, and other overheated.
the best is to take a disc with a on/off switsh, like that it is not all the time on, and less shance to be overheated.
a WD never gave me problems, but be very carefull with dropping it, it is braking fast. better not to transport it but use it as a deskmodel
