Is there any other solution to the boom op monitor with phantom power than the SD MM1 ?
A bit big and heavy for a belt but should pack would do. There is the xaxcom but budget precludes that system.

The only drawback is that it is only 18v Phantom power, which might not be enough for some mics (my NTG-3 needs more, but my AKG C393B works fine)... Check your mic's specs. I found mine (barely) used for $175.
