Any recommendations on a good handheld light to use for ENG style interviews? I want nice soft diffusion and something bright enough to work maybe from 10-15 feet away. I have a very small budget for the light, pole, and batteries. And I have no idea what wattage I need. Im new to this. Ive looked at the NRG VERSALITE PRO. Any good?

My purpose is (1) news or run-and-gun style interviews on the street or in night clubs and (2) promo or documentary shoots also on the street at night or late evening.

The Sachtler Reporter 100H looks good as far as price. Although Im realizing that the battery and charger is what going to cost the most. Thats the case with Anton Bauer and Sachtler and most likely with any system.

As far as budget... if I pay more than $500 for the setup I hope it also works well for studio work too. Like say in a small room. And both AC and DC capable.

ok got wat u mean anyway 4 sachtler u need not need to use an original battery charger and battery u can d.i.y i mean u can purchase a rechargeable battery cell 30v dc and solder the wire and get urself a case as 4 the connector what i did is i change it to 3 pin xlr male inctead of the standard sachtler 5 pin ! for ultra lite i d.i.y too i bought the gold connector at 50 bucks bought a 30w dc bulb and get urself a decent looking downlight wif barndoor it produce almost the same result! but not as classy as the anton bauer thou!:)
