Portable Audio Recorder with Rec/Run timcode triggering

I am looking for options for a one person doc shoot that will be over the course of many months in harsh conditions and filmed using the Ikonoskop A-CAM which records in Raw format. The camera can record audio onboard but the process to recover it is too time consuming for it to be practical with my workflow. Currently I am thinking of using the Sound Devices 702T since the camera can send Rec/Run timecode out triggering the recorder to stop and start which will make things easier to sync after a day of shooting.

I would like to see if anyone has any other ideas for a smaller setup, there will be no dedicated sound person and mics will be onboard shotgun AT 897 (possibly Sennheiser 416 if budget allows), and Sennheiser G3 on talent. I started thinking of a Zaxcom ZFR100 with stereo adapter and a MixPre in front of it but that wouldn't be any smaller and more things to go wrong.

Should I stick with the 702T or is there another way to trigger sound recording (and the old clapper is not feasible in this situation)

Thanks for any suggestions, I appreciate the help.
