has any one used or owns one of these camera covers for the dvx 100 ...i live in the UK and to get hold of it over here for this modle camera is hard work...i have seen it in vistek in canada but they wont sell to an english credit card and if i do get it is it easy to work with getting at all the controls ect...Paul

I got one from Vistek a couple of weeks ago after more than three months wait... It works pretty well. Putting it on is a bit awkward first (the handle, the cables, a bunch of velcro straps...), but once you do it everything is pretty accessible.

Can't you order one from B&H - they will probably ship to UK.

Yes you can use the LCD. If you order from Rush at EVS you can get the DVXuser discount. (Just FYI, because I forgot to mention it in my previous post.)

just thought i would let you know i got the porta brace..the only thing i dont like is the little shield that sort of sits limp over the front of the lens..does anyone find it creeps into the top corners of the lens on wide or is it just mine has died and gone droopy :-/

Has anyone ever seen a Panasonic rain cover???

I have searched the web and looked at all possible catalouges and have never found a picture of it so I could see what it looks like. It certainly does not encourage one to buy it if it is impossible to know what it looks like .

Can anyone post a picture or should we limit our options to Kata, Petrol and Porta Brace.

Yeah, I wish I could remember who offered some info on a better cover than the Porta Brace...

It seems Fred Plowman wrote about his Porta Brace rain cover being a nuisance in front of his lens like it didn't fit well and kept slipping in front of the lens.

Based on those answers I reckon that none of the DVX members has seen the Panasonic rain cover!
