Popping sound in my audio

Has anyone here ever had popping sounds in their audio when working with audio in FCPHD? My audio consists of MP3, AIFF, and sound from the DV transfer. The only audio making this popping sound are some of my mp3 files. Some make the popping sound while others don't. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

That's the sound of sampling rate errors. Convert them to 48Khz 16-bit AIFs before bringing them into FCP. Try doing it in QuickTime player with the Export Sound to AIF command and use those settings.

If you don't know how to convert the MP3s to AIFF, then here are the steps:
1. Bring the MP3s into itunes
2. Change your import settings in the preferences to AIFF
3. option click on the song, and select 'convert to AIFF'
4. Bring them back into FCP

Pretty annoying, eh? I run into a lot of people that freak out when they try to use mp3's in fcp or AE. Stick with AIFF's and you're golden.
