Tonight's broadcast is part 2 of a three part series entitled "Poor Man's Film School". Our previous broadcasts covered how to get a studio for $2000 and how to prepare to shoot a film. You can listen to previous broadcasts and tune in to the live broadcast at 9:30 pm pacific time here
Feel free to call in towards the end with some of your tips!

I listened to the other episodes today. Pretty informative. I like how your taking the angle from the low/no budget perspective.

Thanks! Sorry we didn't get the stunt one done yet. We're having nothing but problems with blogtalkradio. I do NOT recommend them. lol! I'm going to see if I can't host them on my site. Only issue would be that nobody can call in. Although, we've only had one caller anyway, so maybe it's not too big a deal. As far as future episodes, we're going to be doing stunts, the business side of things, an "Average Joe" filmschool-ie how to make your second feature. Any ideas you guys would like to see us do a special on?

why not have a place on your page for people to ask questions in advance, and then answer them on the show.

I'd call in, but when you go on I'm in bed lol. So I never get to listen live anyway.

One thing I'm interested in knowing about is night shooting on a budget. I'm gonna be shooting my very first feature soon, and while I have a decent idea of how I am gonna do all the daytime shots. I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to night shooting. I've looked up day for night, but for some of the shots I NEED to shoot at night.. after all it is a horror movie.

I like the question idea. I'll see what I can do with it.

I think we can definitely help with the night shooting on a budget. Check your PM

What about a 'chat/instantmessage' session simultaneous with your webcast?
Or, even email... during the session... get a couple of interns to screen stuff...

Good idea. I've used the chat a few times, but no one came in the room. I guess I should promote a bit more that this is supposed to be interactive. lol

So our stunt show went well. If you missed it, you can download or stream on my site. Tonight we're just doing a filmmaker's take on a couple of films.

Tonights show will cover how to learn how to make movies. This show in particular is geared towards people that have a camera and computer, but don''t know what to do with them, how to use them, or how to run a set. We'll be introducing a course that Trex and I developed that will teach you how to make films and prepare you to to shoot a feature eventually. 9pm Pacific time here
