Daniel_Runyon said:And whats up with suits, man? Who started the whole idea of wearing bizarrly stiff and hot clothing with a non functional noose around your neck for wearing to work and other formal settings? I believe wearing a suit to work is one of the primary causes of corporate behavior. How on Earth is someone supposed to be brilliant, innovative and productive to their fullest while wearing such a strange get up? I shun all this **** to the fullest. Suits are for weirdos, and those who wear them should be held highly suspect of the deepest perversions of humanity, followed closely by those who wear briefs. And God help the soul of those who wear both.
Jeans were actually invented as functional clothing, and are still pretty handy for a lot of things, but I get your vibe.
Personally I hate suits for working, and luckily have never had a long term job that required one. I think it is used as a uniform and the purpose of uniforms in, obviously to make everyone "uniform." Sometimes this is very helpful and productive, for example in the armed forces. This not only presents a uniformed and disciplined organisation, but gives the individual a sense of belonging and purpose - in turn increasing their performance.
I think that the Romans had the right idea, togas and sandals, but would be a bit chilly for England. Jesus was just conforming to the dress code of his time though.
Anyway, I don't know why I am being so serious in a joke post, I'll shut up.
