Sorry I should actually clarify that Anton Bauer actually does indeed create V-mounts now, meaning getting AB doesn't mean you need to switch to Gold Mount. Confusing I know, but kinda awesome. Just curious who goes with which brand, not so much which mount.

What does everyone in your town use? Use them.
Personally I use Hawkwoods it is a UK company and I can get them re-celled in the UK - but in LA you want a different local brand or a brand with local service.
Personally I would not go near the chinese batts (switchtronix swit??)

I should note that I'm asking not because I'm purchasing per se but actually am creating a head to head battery vs battery review video soon and want to see the lay of the land in regards to brand usage. Thanks!

I have and only had V-mount Switronix (XPL-90S). I love them : not very expensive, lasts quite a long time, feels great in hand, and i love to have both USB and D-tap out of it. I sometimes use it to charge my phone when away from my place, thanks to this USB ^^
But it seems like they are using the same outter shell for both their 90 and 130 Wh, making the 90 Wh pretty big for its power.

After polling the industry (mostly Los Angeles FYI) and a ton of R&D on how we can push the batteries. The video review series I've been pulling together with the help of EVS in Burbank is releasing!
First two episodes below!
Some surprising (and in some cases not so surprising) results from these batteries.
