I appear to be a better listener. Just wondering.

Oh, can't edit the poll questions.
I'd prefer a balanced conversation but I find that most people would rather talk. So, perhaps I worded that wrong.

Perhaps...
-I am a better talker.
-I am a better listener.
-I am better at a balanced conversation.

//Oh, I should have included the choice "I choose not to respond" but that would be mute.
//Oh, and Pookie, your not included in this. I can't even think of a category to put you under. -beers.

Yes, it does depend of the context of the coversation, which makes it so hard sometimes to communicate with people that have vastly different interests.
However, there are people that are good at talking. I call it "the gift of gab." . Talk show hosts for example.
Many people in the visual arts fields seem to have this ability also.

I do find it somewhat interesting, but not totally surprising, that the 'I prefer to talk' option had zero votes.

In my personal experience, I find that to be quite the opposite. I do however, rarely speak in public, unless I have to. So maybe that draws out the conversation from other people more than they normally would.

At any rate, I found the results unexpected.
I also suspect the poll is most likely inaccurate in that it was a personal choice to vote or not.

I used to never listen and just gab non-stop

Now after some years in the creative field, it's kind of odd that I usually prefer to listen and talk very little. Actually thought about that the other day. No idea why

Had a conversation with a guy today. It wasn't his fault I guess, but he talked non stop for over an hour. About nothing. Man, take a hint. ...
