J.R. Hudson's sticky is political. Sorry but it looks like mostly left wing hollywood people. They are putting out their view point. DVXuser has a policy of NO politics,,,,that should be removed. Thanks
 
Yes it is way to long. The point of the video....we are all rich hollywood actors with to much time on our hands. The world is doomed unless you vote for the socialist obama. They are all Obama supporters. This sticky is very political,,,,,,it should be removed or let me add a sticky!!
 
not only that, it's poorly executed. who wants to hear a bunch of sarcastic, snarky celebrities talking down to us? i'm an obama supporter and even I think this video is bad for our cause. i say unstick it and delete it.

btw, i for one happen to know hudson is in the tank for ron paul. :)
 
I agree with you Zak. vote for whoever you want to. But I'm sick of Ellen and the gang...
 
It reminded me of the first Harry Potter movie in that every single scene could've been cut by 2/3 and we wouldn't have missed anything. This was just wayyyyyy too long and patronizing. Maybe if they'd just used Jonah Hill. Although the token "just vote no matter who it's for" was pretty funny given it's obvious "but don't really vote for McCain, I mean, seriously" undertone.

All in all, not nearly as good as Diddy's Blair Witch video about Palin.

I'll let you guys decide just how sarcastic I am about any of this. :)
 
Actually Zim - you are totally right.

I've noticed DVXuser has gone hugely downhill with regards to political correctness. If we can't talk about the market and how it affects our lives. Or the economy which is not at all political then we most certainly can't have a sticky that is totally and utterly political in nature.
 
Yeah, the whole "this is a bi-partisan PSA" is just a flaming pile. First, it's well known that all these celebs lean super left. Secondly, the issues they bring up and the tone they bring them up in, is very implicitly left-supporting.
 
This thread is likely to disappear in short order, so I'm going to restrain myself from participating publicly...

However I will say that I really wish that DVXUser had a politics section -- I think if it were well moderated it would work out just fine.

Perhaps the section would only display each member as a server-side id number, rather than their username, so that no hard feelings would leave the politics section.

Meanwhile, anyone who wants can discuss politics on my forum any time they like...

Thanks for the alternative forum to discuss this kind of thing, you may see me over there.

But we tried to have politics in some kind of moderated way and it just blew up. Experiment conducted - lesson learned.
