Police Light Beacon (Looking for professional lights)

[vision_filmz]

We are working on a short story (weekend project) that requires blue and red lights on a car to resemble that of a police car.

Any ideas where I can buy some professional looking red & blue beacon lights?

Thanks

Any of the many police and emergency supply stores online? You don't have a location listed in your profile; if you are in LA, any of the many prop rental houses.

If your using a camera with a CMOS sensor beware of strobing Police beacons as they can cause flash banding.

Thank you for the heads up, I will be using a Dslr. Also the lights would be in the background and not up close at all.

We frequently see only the reflection of the red/blue flashing lights, not the lights directly. You could do that with a rotating disk of red/blue gels on a regular cine light.

We used some lights picked up from an online store in the US - battery operated - worked perfectly, I wish I could tell you where but I can't contact the buyer at the moment - maybe an online search?
