Wow. Not the most amazing thing ever, but the first decision from Polaroid in a while that doesn't look like self-inflicted injury.

I love my Droid TV, Droid phone, Droid tablet....Samsung has an interesting Superzoom Android, so this might be fun too. Time will tell.

Enjoy!

Sensor size? Lens mount? I wouldn't get my hopes too high: nowadays Polaroid is mostly just reselling Chinese and Korean stuff under their better known name.

This could be the future! Imagine being able to take photos and videos and then edit and process them directly in the camera, sending them on the Internet,etc...
And when you get bored you could always play games or listen to music on your camera. Why aren't more companies doing this?
A RED or Sony advanced camera using Android could become an incredible device! You could do directly color correction, editing, add filters,etc...The cameras could also be easily upgraded, you won't have to wait for months for a firmware update, you could use a huge variety of codecs, the possibilities are endless!

In the article it says they announced an android camera last year as well and they still haven't released that one...so we'll just have to see. Looks strikingly similar to the Nikon 1 series....
