Polarizer with a 35mm

Hey there...have any of you had any strange issues when using a polarizer filter with your 35mm rigs.

I was just testing out a car mount this weekend and could not get the polarizer to knock out reflections on the windshield no matter how I turned it.

I dunno what the issue is since I have never had anything similar come up when shooting the same type of shot, in the same conditions with a S16 camera.

*EDIT* I was also nearly 90 degrees from the sun and I was having problems. Would a circular polarizer on the lens be a better idea in the future?

I've done the same thing and had no problems, so I don't know what to tell you. Polarizing filters for me have always cut the glare out for the most part when looking through a windshield or passenger window.

A circular polarizer will allow you to dial out the glare from a window.

tip
Just hold the pola in front of your eye and spin it... if it achieves the effect you want them put it on your camera and twist until the same look is achieved.
