I voted for it and i don't care who knows it. It was very entertaining. Not to mention the compositing  stuff. I just wanted to say "Job well done" For a one man show it rocks!

I agree, it was amazing. I didn't see any comments on the great freeze frame shot that transitions into the poker player opening one eye and the searching eyeball, but that was priceless. The compositing and animation is so smoothly done, too. I wish there had been maybe one minute or so at the beginning to set up the story and develop the character a bit, otherwise it rocked.

thanks for the kind thread elvis. you'll always be the king in my book. especially from now on!

and thanks again barry. i'm not one to dilly-dally with the details. i like to leave a lot opened for the imagination. let the viewer ponder instead of spelling it all out.

and everyone i have shown this short to laughs their ass off at the eye. i didnt realize it until you said it that there hadnt been mention here. that's everyones favorite part. that came out in editing. i didnt even plan for that shot. happy accidents are great.

my favorite is the rack focus on the card split.

thanks again all. i've definitely been inspired to keep shooting.

GOod job man. Really impressive and seamless effects. They fit perfectly into the short and didn't distract or take me out of it at all.

antOmic, It was a great video that made the DVX look good, ...REAL good. You got my vote and my respect.

I am not sure if I want to be your friend or your nemesis. As your friend I can learn from your talent, as your enemy I can try harder to destroy you. Hmmm Decisions, decisions.

Interesting concept; 2 filmmakers, 2 different worlds, 1 REALLY bizarre movie.

For a six-man show it would still rock! Poker Night was awesome! I am very much looking forward to his next contest entry.

on a side note...it's raining like hell here in LA, so i sat and watched every frame of your DVD again today. gotta do my homework for a documentary shoot i've been asked to help with.
